ING names new CEO of APAC wholesale banking

Krista Baetens was chief risk officer for ING Belgium before taking the role.

ING Bank has appointed Krista Baetens as CEO of Wholesale Banking Asia Pacific effective 15 January, according to a news release.

Baetens will be in charge of wholesale strategy in APAC and the performance of the wholesale banking business across 14 markets in the region. She will succeed Gerrit Stoelinga.

Baetens has been with ING for 22 years, with her current role being the chief risk officer and member of the executive committee for ING Belgium.
