Grab pilots GrabPay Card in the Philippines

It comes with a digital version within the Grab app.

Grab is launching its digital Mastercard-powered GrabPay Card in the Philippines, according to a news release.

It comes with a digital version within the Grab app that grants users complete control of their card. It allows users, with or without a bank account, to transact securely and easily online at merchants that accept Mastercard cards.

Card details are stored within the Grab app, with an in-app card lock function that allows users to immediately suspend payments in case of lost cards or suspicious transactions.

Users can also earn GrabRewards points in transactions with merchant-partners. They also get a mobile insurance protection which enables them to pay postpaid phone bills and safeguard against accidental damage or theft.

The card is also equipped with an e-commerce protection as coverage for online transactions in the event that a wrong or defective item was delivered, or an incomplete or non-delivery.

Users can activate their GrabPay card through the Grab app.
