Hang Seng cautions clients against phishing scams and fraudulent websites

Phishing messages can steal users' personal details through prompted links to fake websites.

Hang Seng Bank has issued a warning to the public to remain vigilant against recent phishing SMS messages claiming to be from Hang Seng.

Fraudulent websites using the bank’s name may be using the following domain names:

Hang Seng told the public that it is not affiliated with these phishing SMS messages and deceitful websites.

It added that it will never request clients to access their personal e-banking or furnish any personal information, such as their HKID number, e-Banking login details, credit card particulars, one-time passwords, email addresses, and password through embedded links, instant messaging applications, or comparable channels.

If individuals receive phishing SMS messages or emails related to these fraudulent websites, they are told to refrain from clicking on any links and should not reveal any personal or other information to such sites.
