BDO names Jeffrey Alejandro as chief audit executive and IAG head

He worked for ING Bank NV and Citibank NA previously.

BDO Unibank, Inc. has appointed Jeffrey Meglar Alejandro as chief audit executive and head of its internal audit group (IAG), effective 1 January 2025, according to a filing at the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE).

Alejandro, who joined Philippines’ largest bank by assets in 2023, brings over 28 years of banking industry experience to his new role.

Notably, Alejandro was vice president for the Asia Regional Audit Team of ING Bank NV from March 2016 to December 2022.

He also worked at Citibank NA from December 1996 to March 2016.
