Fintech Aspire, Visa launch corporate card for Hong Kong’s SMBs

Globally, 4 in 5 small and medium businesses are looking to sell overseas.

Fintech Aspire has launched a Visa corporate card targeting small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) in Hong Kong.

The cards give Hong Kong’s small businesses multi-currency and seamless cross-border payments. Businesses can manage their funds with one account.

Globally, nearly 4 in 5 SMBs (79%) said that selling across borders is a focus for their growth, according to a 2024 report by Visa.

Some 72% of consumers also said that they are comfortable buying from businesses in other countries, the report said.

Aspire is a Singapore-headquartered finance platform for businesses. It has over 600 employees across 9 countries, clients in over 30 markets, and is backed by venture capital firms including Sequoia, Lightspeed, Y-Combinator, Tencent and Paypal.

In 2023, Aspire closed a US$100m Series C round and announced that it had achieved profitability.
