Citi’s Corporate and Investment Banking sees 84% rise in M&A fees

It captured 5% of the global investment banking wallet share in Q1.

Citi’s Corporate and Investment Banking logged an 84% increase in mergers & acquisitions (M&A) fees in the first quarter of 2025.

For the first time in four years, Citi CIB captured 5% of the global investment banking wallet share, based on data from Dealogic.

The momentum in Q1 carried over to April, according to Citi, with several LBO commitments in the first two weeks of the month.
