Franklin Templeton names new co-heads of Global Official Institutions Group

The new office will serve central banks and sovereign wealth funds globally.

Franklin Templeton has announced Tariq Ahmad and Sandeep Singh as new co-heads for the Global Official Institutions Group, a newly created office.

Tariq Ahmad is head of APAC, and Sandeep Singh is head of CEEMEA and India.

The new office will serve central banks and sovereign wealth funds globally— a segment that reportedly represents a US$30t opportunity for Franklin Templeton, it said in a press release.

The two heads are tasked with building and strengthening relationships with official institutions around the world.

They will also develop tailored investment solutions for each institution in their segment.
