Atome Philippines secures $81.1m loan from AUB to expand PayLater card

Customers use the card for groceries, food, household items, and bills, the company said.

Atome Philippines, a buy now pay later (BNPL) service provider, has secured a $81.13m (PHP5b) loan from Asia United Bank (AUB), a Philippine bank.

The company will use the proceeds to continue expanding its Atome PayLater Anywhere Card service, which has issued to over 3 million customers, according to a statement on 9 July 2026.

Up to 80% of PayLater Anywhere Card customers are first-time cardholders, and 65% are women, the company said.

The majority of the Filipino customers use their Atome PayLater card for groceries, food, household items, telco, and utility bill payments, Atome said.

The PHP5b facility follows Atome’s earlier PHP2.75b loan channeling partnership with Maya Bank in 2025.
