Bank of Commerce PH upgrades system of 140 branches and ATMs
The Philippine bank teamed up with InfoSys and IBM to roll out the upgrade.
Bank of Commerce (BankCom), a Philippine-based bank, has completed the migration of its new core banking system.
This involves upgrading its 140 branches and its entire ATM network, according to an announcement on 15 September 2025.
BankCom teamed up with Infosys, a digital banking solutions provider, and IBM, a provider of global hybrid cloud and artificial intelligence (AI), to roll out the upgrade, according to BankCom president and CEO Michaelangelo R. Aguilar in an announcement shared via email.
The migration was completed over just one weekend, owing to close cooperation between employees, vendors, and partners, BankCom said.
“These enhancements are a significant part of our digital transformation, as we continue to innovate to help ensure we’re delivering better banking experiences for our customers,” Aguilar said.
“Apart from bringing flexibility to our product and service offerings, we will also have the capability to deliver a more efficient, reliable, and secured banking experience for all,” he added.
BankCom is a publicly-listed universal bank in the Philippines, and an affiliate of the San Miguel Corporation (SMC). It posted an unaudited net income of PHP1.86b on 30 June 2025.
