
Alipay+ expands digital services as SGQR payments surge
Cross-border payment acceptance for Alipay+ now includes more than 100 markets.
Alipay+ has expanded its payments and digital services ecosystem as payments via SGQR surged more than 1.7 times year-on-year, according to a recent Alipay+ report.
According to the report, Singapore ranked first for tourism spending growth in 2025 amongst global travel hotspots.
In line with this, cross-border payment acceptance for Alipay+ now includes more than 100 markets, and is expanding its partner ecosystem to 40, representing 1.8 billion users.
New services include Alipay+ Voyager, a built-in AI travel agent, Alipay+ GenAI Cockpit, an AI-as-a-Service solution for digital wallets, and Expanded Global Blue in-app tax refunds.
The company also now partners with Bluecode (Europe), PayPay (Japan) and KBank (Thailand).
