UnionBank, INSEAD launch program for relationship managers
Selected UnionBank RMs have already undergone a two-day training.
Union Bank of the Philippines (UnionBank) has teamed up with INSEAD to launch a multi-year learning initiative aimed at enhancing relationship managers’ expertise in wealth, private, and retail banking.
The ASCEND Program aims to equip UnionBank’s top-performing RMs with global insights and advanced skills in macroeconomics, market dynamics, behavioral economics, and emerging trends in wealth management.
Under the program’s first phase, selected RMs underwent a two-day intensive training conducted by INSEAD faculty.
Future phases will expand the program’s reach and integrate digital learning modules covering topics such as digital currencies, tokenization, and artificial intelligence.
UnionBank president and CEO Ana Aboitiz Delgado and Prof. Sameer Hasija, dean of INSEAD Asia Campus and executive education, formalized the partnership.
Also in the signing ceremony were Karthik Rajaraman, senior director, corporate
partnerships; and VJ Posadas, director, corporate partnerships.
Representing UnionBank’s senior leadership team were Michelle Rubio, chief human resource officer; Manoj Varma, consumer banking center head; Gauraw Srivastava, wealth management head; and Gautam Sharma, wealth sales network head.
