Ripple seeks Australian AFSL license as payments volume doubles
It has over 75 regulatory licenses globally.
Ripple, a blockchain solutions provider, announced plans to secure an Australian Financial Services License (AFSL).
Ripple plans to scale Ripple Payments in Australia and the region, said Fiona Murray, managing director for APAC at Ripple.
“By leveraging blockchain technology and digital assets, we enable customers to move value globally with greater speed, transparency, and reliability,” Murray said.
Ripple’s APAC payments reportedly doubled year-on-year in 2025, it said in a press release in March 2026. Ripple now works with various financial institutions, whilst Australian customers include Hai Ha Money Transfer, Flash Payments, Caleb & Brown, Stables, and Independent Reserve.
It has over 75 regulatory licenses globally, it said.
