Union Bank of the Philippines revises credit card rewards scheme

Select credit cards earn 1 point for every PHP150 spent, from 1 per PHP60 previously.

Union Bank of the Philippines (UBP) has announced changes to miles and points earned from PayDirect transactions.

Beginning 1 June 2026, holders of the UnionBank Rewards Credit Card, UnionBank Miles+ Credit Card, UnionBank Platinum Credit Card, UnionBank Reserve Credit Card, and UnionBank Grab Credit Card will earn 1 point for every PHP150 spent.

The UnionBank Platinum Credit Card holders affected are those with card numbers starting in 453248 and 552097.

Previously, cardholders earned 1 point for every PHP60 spent.

Meanwhile, there are no changes to the UnionBank Mercury Drug Credit Card (1 point for every PHP400 spent); and rebate rates UnionBank Cash Back Credit Card and the UnionBank S&R Credit Card.

The UnionBank Cash Back credit card offers 0.10% rebate per transaction, whilst the UnionBank S&R Credit Card offers 0.25% rebate per transaction.
