HKB Technology Excellence Awards 2021 opens doors for nominations

The deadline for nominations is on 25 June 2021.

Hong Kong Business is once again giving companies a chance to win the much-coveted HKB Technology Excellence Awards this year.

Now in its third edition, HKB Technology Excellence Awards recognises exceptional organisations that have made notable contributions and innovations in technology.

The awards programme will award world-class firms with the most innovative and unique IT initiatives and solutions that drive business growth and push the boundaries of technology in Hong Kong.

Last year's celebration was graced by renowned businesses like Hang Seng Bank Limited (Enterprise Software - Banking and E-Commerce - Banking), McDonald's Hong Kong (Digital - Food & Beverage), Philip Morris Asia Limited (Publisher's Choice Award for Research & Development - Consumer Products), United Asia Finance Limited (Fintech - Financial Services), Great Eagle Company (AI - Real Estate Category), and FIL Investment Management Limited (Digital and Mobile - Financial).

"A seamless integration of people, process and technology is needed to deliver an omni-experience for customers in the ever-changing market landscape," said Keith Chan, chief financial and technology officer of McDonald's Hong Kong. "The feedback from customers tells us they appreciate the omni-experience that we provide, which further encourages us to excel and go beyond their expectations as we move forward.”

McDonald's Hong Kong received the trophy for Digital - Food & Beverage for its omni-channel digital platform that includes Engagement Kiosks, McDonald's App, MyVoice App, and its digital menu board. Designed for the more tech-savvy clients, it allows the company to connect and engage with customers on a new and deeper level.

“McDonald’s Hong Kong is committed to offering customers a better dining experience and brand new service concept to its restaurants.We connect with our customers on new levels with greater menu offerings and better customer services, whether they visit our restaurants or order through McDelivery.”

Deadline for submissions of entries is on 25 June 2021.

Nomination is free of charge, and winners will be honoured at the awarding ceremony on 21 July 2021 in Hong Kong.
