CIMB-TrustCapital Advisors Singapore Pte Ltd, on behalf of CIMB-TrustCapital Office Fund No.1, announced the acquisition of 850 Collins Street, Melbourne from Lend Lease Australia. CIMB-TrustCapital Advisors is the investment manager for CIMB-TCA AOF1.
850 Collins Street is an A-grade commercial office building that is currently under construction and is scheduled for completion in October 2012. On completion the building will comprise 8 levels of office space and ground floor retail, making up a total of 17,275m² of net lettable area. Global engineering firm Aurecon have pre-leased five of the office floors.
The building is located in the centre of Melbourne’s growing Victoria Harbour precinct, and is directly opposite ANZ’s new global headquarters on Collins Street. Incorporating a raft of green initiatives, the building is targeting a 5 Star Green Star rating, and will be a sought-after location in the Melbourne Commercial Business District. It will add to the growing list of blue-chip commercial tenants in Victoria Harbour which already include ANZ, NAB, Myer, Fujitsu, Ericsson and Lend Lease’s Victorian headquarters.
