Citi names Yuko Nakayama as head of ECM for Japan investment banking

The ECM team in Japan will report to Nakayama.

Citi has appointed Yuko Nakayama as head of ECM for Japan Investment Banking, effective 1 December 2025.

Nakayama is tasked with leading and further strengthening Citi’s equity capital markets business in Japan. The ECO team in Japan will report to her.

She will focus on deepening client relationships, driving strategic growth initiatives, and leveraging Citi’s global capabilities to deliver high-quality solutions to the bank’s clients, according to Citi.

Nakayama worked in Goldman Sachs from 2015 before rejoining Citi in 2023. She had also worked earlier in Citi from 2009 to 2015.

She reports to taiji Nagasaka and Akira Kiyota.
