Crédit Agricole CIB names new APAC head of int’l trade & transaction banking

Christophe Crétot is most recently head of corporate & leverage finance APAC.

Crédit Agricole CIB has named Christophe Crétot as head of international trade and transaction banking for Asia Pacific, effective 10 March.

Crétot succeeds Laurent Proutière, who is now CEO for the Asian operations of Indosuez Wealth Management.

Crétot will be based in Singapore and will oversee all business activities related to export finance, commodity finance, trade finance, receivable and supply chain finance, and cash management, for clients in the Asia Pacific region.

Crétot first joined the Credit Agricole Group as a fund manager for Indosuez Wealth Management Luxembourg in 1996. He then became a credit analyst for Credit Agricole CIB in paris, then a loan originator for French and Nordic companies in the bank’s London operations.

He was most recently head of corporate and leveraged finance Asia Pacific, appointed in 2022.
