MUFG invests in May Mobility for autonomous vehicle deployment

MUFG will help the company scale its fleet to thousands of vehicles, it said.

MUFG Bank is investing in and partnering with May Mobility, an autonomous vehicle technology company, for the deployment of autonomous vehicles.

MUFG will provide access to its financial services to help May Mobility scale its fleet to thousands of vehicles alongside new and existing fleet operators in the coming years, the Japanese megabank said in a press release released on 16 June 2025.

The bank and May Mobility will collaborate to introduce autonomous driving to a wide range of industries and services, it added.

The autonomous driving system developed by May Mobility uses its proprietary Multi
Policy Decision Making (MPDM) technology. MPDM reportedly applies real-time, human-like reasoning in its autonomous vehicles, the press release said.
