
State Bank of India to assist Japanese SMEs
State Bank of India and the Japan Bank for International Cooperation will help small companies Japan do business in India.
An MoU been signed by SBI's managing director and group executive (International Banking) Hemant Contractor and managing executive officer of JBIC, Kazuo Yuhara.
Regional banks from Japan do not have a presence in India but SMEs from that country operating in India or planning to enter the market here need to avail of financial services and the said MOU would assist JSMEs to meet their financial requirements from SBI, according to a statement by the said bank.
JBIC has been mandated by the Japanese government to coordinate with regard to the needs of JSMEs.
