HDFC bank appoints new Additional Non-Executive Director

Karnad has been associated with the property and mortgage industry for over 40 years.

India’s Housing Development Finance Corporation bank has appointed Renu Karnad as Additional Non-Executive Director on the board, according to a press release.

Before taking on the role, Karnad served as the Managing Director of Housing Development Finance Corporation Limited, a position she held since 2010.

She is a post graduate in economics from the University of Delhi and holds a degree in law from the University of Mumbai. She has been associated with the real estate and mortgage industry in India for over 40 years.

Her appointment shall be subject to the approval of the shareholders at the ensuing annual general meeting.
