
ABN AMRO Clearing Bank granted restricted banking licence in Hong Kong
There are now 16 restricted licence banks in the city.
The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) has granted a restricted banking licence to ABN AMRO Clearing Bank N.V. (AACB) under the banking ordinance, according to an announcement on 29 August 2025.
AACB is incorporated in the Netherlands.
The number of restricted licence banks in Hong Kong is now at 16, the central bank said.
