AlipayHK warns of phishing messages

There are individuals sending out messages claiming to be from AlipayHK.

AlipayHK has warned of fraudulent activities claiming to be from the online payment platform.

In a press release, AlipayHK said that the individuals may send out phishing messages and emails with links to suspicious platforms, or which request personal information from users.

In one such instance, a text message contained the following phishing link, according to AlipayHK: https[:]//hksunmobile[.]com/ac

This is reportedly done to deceive users into sharing their credit card information through SMS, and then using the stolen credit card information to conduct payments or fund transfers to other e-payment platforms.

Users who suspect that their credit cards may have been misappropriated are asked to immediately contact their card issuers and report them to the police.

AlipayHK added that it will provide full cooperation and assistance to the police in any subsequent investigation.
