BEA warns against 16 fraudulent websites

It has reported these sites to the local police and the HKMA.

The Bank of East Asia (BEA) has alerted the public of 16 fraudulent websites.

BEA says it has no affiliation to the following sites:

  • hxxps :// pccwservices [.] com / hk / banks / bank_cn / bea [.] php 
  • hxxps :// pccwservices [.] com / hk / BEA_CN / username [.] php 
  • hxxps :// pccwservices [.] com / hk / panel / processor [.] php 
  • hxxps :// pccw-hkt [.] online / hk / banks / bank_cn / select [.] php 
  • hxxps :// pccw-hkt [.] online / hk / banks / bank_cn / bea [.] php 
  • hxxps :// pccw-hkt [.] online / hk / BEA_CN / username [.] php 
  • hxxps :// pccw-hkt [.] online / hk / panel / processor [.] php 
  • hxxps :// customerservice-pccw [.] net / hk / banks / bank_cn / select [.] php

The bank has reported the above to the Hong Kong Police and the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA), assuring customers that it will take any action deemed necessary and appropriate to protect the bank’s reputation, as well as the interests of its customers, BEA said in a press release.

Anyone who has provided personal information or conducted any financial transactions through the fraudulent websites are asked to immediately report the case to the police for investigation, and call BEA’s Customer Service Hotline on (852) 2211 1333 for assistance. 

Customers who are suspicious about the identity of a website at an address similar to the address of BEA’s homepage are asked to call BEA’s customer service hotline for verification.
