DBS Taiwan launches new savings products
Products can yield high interest rates of up to 5.38% whose minimum amount that can be transferred is US$10,147, while the maximum is US$338,249.
DBS Bank's high-interest savings accounts have always been popular among customers. To give something back in the midst of the low interest rates being offered by banks, DBS has launched products offering rates of up to 5.38 percent.
The savings are divided into New Taiwan dollar accounts and foreign currency accounts. For New Taiwan dollar savings accounts, those wiring new funds into DBS and opening two separate accounts of the same value, one for three months and one for two years, will get 2 percent for the first and 1.5 percent for the second. The minimum amount that can be transferred is NT$300,000 (US$10,147), while the maximum is NT$10 million (US$338,249). The offers will last from now till Jun. 30.
Meanwhile, from now till April 29, those wiring new funds into DBS will get 1.38 percent for one-year accounts and 1.5 percent for two year accounts. The minimum and maximum values are the same as above.
As for foreign currency savings accounts, they are divided into Group A made up of the New Taiwan dollar, the U.S. dollar and the euro, and Group B made up of the Australian dollar and the New Zealand dollar. Customers opening two accounts, one with one in Group A and one in Group B, of the same value and same length of time will get regular rates for the Group A currency accounts and a special rate for the Group B currency accounts.
