CTBC Bank unveils multi-language ATM services

Machines now offer services in Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, Thai and Vietnamese.

Taiwan’s CTBC Bank has upgraded over 5,000 of its ATMs around the country to service customers in six different languages as it aims to capture the growing tourist segment, reports Focus Taiwan.

The languages include Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, Thai and Vietnamese.

Additionally, CTBC Bank said that about 200 of its ATMS across the country have since late last year allowed users to make withdrawals in three different foreign currencies: U.S. dollars, Japanese yen and Chinese yuan.

Taiwan has the highest ATM density in the world with one machine per 826 residents. As of end-April, there are 28,451 ATMs in the country servicing the residents.
