Hong Leong Finance opens branch in South Bridge road

The new Hong Lim branch has wheelchair-friendly features such as ramp accessibility and lower service counters.

According to a release, the opening of the new Hong Lim branch marks a return of Hong Leong Finance to South Bridge Road - where its first branch was opened in 1967. The branch was relocated in 1990 to Chinatown Point when the new shopping mall was built. With the extensive renovations underway at the mall, Hong Leong Finance has taken the opportunity to move its branch back to South Bridge Road.

The new Hong Lim branch, designed to better serve the fast ageing population, is equipped with wheelchair-friendly features such as ramp accessibility and lower service counters, which will enable customers with mobility problems to enjoy enhanced service standards.

“We are eager to reach out to the ageing community and better engage them at a whole new level of experience. Much has been said about the growing need for facilities for the elderly and we are doing our bit to serve them well,” said Hong Leong Finance President, Mr Ian Macdonald.

The new branch also marks another new beginning with the opening of HLF’s fifth SME Centre@Branches. The centre represents the latest chapter in Hong Leong Finance’s expansion plans to bring SME services closer to its customers. It has four existing SME Centres located at City Square Mall, Bedok, Jurong East and Yishun. The initiative was launched as part of the company’s 50th anniversary Golden Jubilee celebrations.
