UOB reopens nine branches in Singapore starting 8 June

Two wealth banking centres are also reopening.

UOB is reopening nine branches across Singapore starting 8 June as part of the country’s Safe Re-Opening Phase, according to a news release.

The branches are located in Boon Lay, Jalan Sultan, Pasir Ris, Rochor, Shaw Centre, Tai Seng, and Thomson. Two wealth banking centres in Shaw Centre and Tampines are also re-opening.

The locations have been selected based on their proximity to areas with a higher concentration of businesses and to existing branches that experienced high customer footfall during the circuit breaker.

All re-opened branches will continue to prioritise service for elderly and vulnerable customers during the first hour of banking operations. In addition, safety measures such as masks, SafeEntry check-in and check-out procedures, temperature screening, and health and travel declarations will also be in place.

UOB will monitor customer traffic at its branches and consider government guidelines before deciding when to re-open its remaining branches.
