Bank Negara Indonesia enters into business cooperation agreement with Orix

It’s BNI’s first such agreement with a Japanese financial firm.

Orix Corporation, one of Japan's leading integrated financial services groups, and Indonesia's state-owned commercial bank PT. Bank Negara Indonesia will engage in business matching by mutual introduction of customers, and seek mutual expansion of their businesses by providing financial services centered on leasing to Japanese customers of BNI.

PT ORIX Indonesia Finance, which was formed in 1975, will support the business development of Japanese companies in Indonesia.

Orix will cooperate with Japanese financial institutions who are partners of BNI to support the expansion of mainly Japanese SMEs in Indonesia. Orix aims to expand its business base while capitalizing on its Asian network.

Many Japanese companies are expanding their Indonesian operations in sectors like manufacturing, hospitality, retail and food.
