Citi names Morgan Stanley banker as ANZ Natural Resources Group head
Anders Svensson will be based in Perth, Australia.
Citi has appointed Anders Svensson as managing director, head of Natural Resources Group for the Australia and New Zealand capital markets and advisory team.
Svensson joins from Morgan Stanely, where he was a managing director, according to an announcement on 30 March 2026.
In his new role, Svensson will work closely with Rowan King, the head of metals and mining. The two are expected to drive the continued growth of Citi’s Natural Resources coverage.
Svensson will be based in Perth, Australia.
Citi’s recent Natural Resources’-related activities include Nippon Steel’s $14b acquisition of US steel, BHP’s $6.4b acquisition of Oz Minerals, and Glencore’s $6.9b acquisition of Elk Valley Resources.
