DBS Hong Kong names Xu Qing as managing director and risk head
Xu will oversee all credit and risk functions in Hong Kong, mainland China, and Taiwan.
DBS Bank (Hong Kong) has appointed Xu Qing as managing director and senior risk executive for Hong Kong, effective 1 February 2026. He is also now chief credit officer for North Asia.
In his new roles, Xu will oversee all credit and risk functions in Hong Kong, mainland China, and Taiwan. He will also join the Hong Kong Management Committee of DBS.
Xu has over 20 years of experience across markets, credit, and operation risks, as well as business development.
He was deputy chief executive officer (CEO) of DBS China starting November 2019. He joined as chief risk officer of DBS China in 2015.
Prior to joining DBS, Xu held senior roles in ING Group, including head of treasury risk and general manager of retail banking for China. He had also previously worked in Standard Chartered Bank.
