Maya disbursed $1.16b in loans in 2024
It now holds almost $666.9m in deposit balances.
Maya has achieved PHP39b ($666.88m) in deposit balances as of end-2024, and disbursed PHP68b (approximately $1.16b) in loans during the year.
The Philippine digital bank has disbursed a total of PHP92b ($1.57b) since 2022, according to a press release.
Its total customer base is now at 5.4 million.
“Banking should be simple and empowering,” said Shailesh Baidwan, Maya Group president and Maya Bank co-founder. “By merging payments and banking on one delightful digital experience, we’re enabling more Filipinos to save, borrow, and grow their money with ease.”
In Maya, opening an account requires just one ID. It also has no minimum balance.
Consumers can apply for loans of up to PHP250,000 ($4,270) and receive approval and disbursement within the same day through the Maya app.
For entrepreneurs, Maya provides collateral-free loans of up to PHP2m ($34,190), enabling businesses to access much-needed working capital.
