Mizuho Bank completes merger with research & tech unit

Research and consulting functions are now under the Mizuho Research Institute brand.

Mizuho Bank has completed its merger and business integration with Mizuho Research & Technologies, with the bank as the surviving company.

Research and consulting functions will be carried forward under the brand name Mizuho Research Institute, under Mizuho Bank.

The Mizuho Research Institute will continue the technological development functions within a newly established Informatics and Mathematics Institute.

The merger brings the personnel of Mizuho Research & Technologies under Mizuho Bank. The personnel have expertise in banking functions, research, consulting, IT, and technological development.
