Lim hopes to illuminate how tourists can still use e-wallets beyond their home countries.
Jew Kee Lim, SVP Development & Marketing at Neurogine Sdn Bhd, has more than 20 years of experience in telco, IT, mobile, and web development. He is involved in product development and management, business development, project management, customer experience, and technical operations on a regional and global scale.

Lim shares his experience and philosophy in this interview with Asian Banking & Finance.
What were the previous experiences and positions you've held that contributed to who you are as a banker/expert today?
More than 20 years of working experience, with previously held director role leading the commercial and product development departments. My role is to head the business whilst ensuring the development of new products and services (inclusive mobile app for payment & e-commerce) which are suitable for the market as well as ensuring the right user experience product design and flow, enabling larger takeups resulting in better revenue in the long run. During my employment in Malaysia & Cambodia, with regional exposure in ASEAN countries, I lived through the different stages of mobile banking (inclusive eWallet) – the good and the bad. I believe it is still in the early growth stage where it still has a bigger potential.
Can you describe to us your key business philosophy?
Ensure the business or product we do enables convenience and the best user experience to the consumer. The consumer is our ultimate customer.
What you will share at the ABF Retail Banking Forum?
Currently, most eWallets can only be used in one country. I am going to share on how bankers or eWallet operators can extend their eWallet payment and cash withdrawal to any country in the Asia Pacific. Imagine your existing eWallet users can go to any country as tourists or business travellers to make payment via his own eWallet or withdraw cash. In addition, we could immediately bring the main eWallets from China, such as AliPay, WeChatPay, and UnionPay.
