Philippine cash remittances up 3% to $3.18b in July

Cumulative cash remittances for the January-July 2025 period is now at $19.93b.

Philippine cash remittances registered sustained growth in July 2025, with more remittances from sea-based overseas Filipinos (OFs) than their land-based peers, according to the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP).

Remittances rose to $3.18b in July 2025, a 3% increase from the $3.08b recorded in June.

Of this, land based OFs’ remittances registered a 3% growth, with remittances totalling $2.59b.

Sea-based OFs’ remittances rose by 3.1% to $585m during the same period.

Cumulative cash remittances from January-June 2025 is at $19.93b, higher by 3.1% compared to the same seven-month period in 2024.

The United States remained the top source of remittances to the Philippines during January-July 2025, followed by Singapore and Saudi Arabia.
