RCBC names Anthony Cariaso as deputy CEO
The Philippine bank announced a slew of leadership changes.
Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC) has appointed Anthony B. Cariaso as deputy chief executive officer effective 1 January 2025.
Cariaso is currently an executive vice president and group head of operations at the Philippine-bank.
In a filing at the Philippine Stock Exchange, RCBC outlined a slew of new appointments, including the appointment of Juan Gabriel R. Tomas IV as the new group head of operations to replace Cariaso. Tomas is currently chief risk officer and group head of risk management.
RCBC also named Bennett D. Santiago as the new chief risk officer and head of the risk management group.
Elizabeth E. Coronel, meanwhile, will take over as group head of institutional banking, which comprises the small and medium enterprise banking group and the corporate banking group of RCBC.
Sheila Ricca G. Dioso has been appointed as chief compliance officer and head of the regulatory affairs group.
Brent C. Estrella, who is currently the chief compliance officer and head of the regulatory affairs group, will now report to the Office of the President & CEO and will handle RCBC’s control and governance transformation initiatives.
RCBC also made changes to the leadership of Rizal Microbank, Inc, its thrift bank business.
Simplicio B. Dela Cruz has been named president and CEO of Rizal Microbank effective 1 January 2025. Dela Cruz is currently the division head for SME Central & Eastern Visayas for RCBC.
Ismael Reyes, who is the incumbent president & CEO of Rizal Microbank, will report to the Office of the RCBC president & CEO. Reyes is tasked with coordinating the bank’s retail and microbank transformation efforts.
All appointments are effective 1 January 2025.
Separately, senior vice president Alma D. Reyes has announced her retirement.
