
Westpac names Carolyn McCann as acting chief exec for its consumer division
The Australian Bank is doing an external search to fill the role permanently.
Westpac has appointed Carolyn McCann as acting chief executive for its consumer business, effective 12 May 2025.
McCann is currently group executive, Customer & Corporate Services. She will be seconded to lead the consumer division whilst Westpac undergoes an external search for a permanent replacement to fill the role.
Under McCann’s leadership, the Australian bank’s broker time to decision has more than halved, scam losses have been reduced by 40% and our customer complaints process has been dramatically simplified, said Westpac CEO Anthony Miller.
Carolyn Hoy will act as group executive, Customer & Corporate Services, during McCann’s secondment.
Hoy is general manager, Property, Procurement and Resilience.
