Bank of East Asia chief executive David Li to retire

His sons, Adrian David Li Man-kiu and Brian David Li Man-kiu, will pick up in their father's stead.

Dr. David Li is retiring as chief executive of the Bank of East Asia (BEA) although he is set to assume the role of executive chairman by July 1, 2019. He will also continue to serve as chairman of the board and member of the nomination committee.

Li has served as chief executive of BEA for 38 years.

Upon his retirement, his sons, Adrian David Li Man-kiu and Brian David Li Man-bun will serve as Co-Chief Executives of BEA. The two currently serve as Executive Director & Deputy Chief Executive respectively.
