Citi names new appointees in APAC retail banking arm
This includes a newly-created role for the bank's high net worth clients.
Citi has announced new appointments in its Asia Pacific retail banking business, including for a newly-created role for the bank’s high net worth clients.
Effective 1 October, San San Chan will be APAC and EMEA Citigold Private Client (CPC) business head, a new role reporting to Fabio Fontainha, Citi’s Head of Retail Banking for Asia Pacific and EMEA. The CPC segment caters to customers with $1m to$10m in investable assets and is available across 11 Asian markets.
She will drive the execution of regional sales and advisory strategies for the CPC segment for the region. Backed by an acceleration in digital adoption, Citi is targeting a 10% increase in new wealth management clients and assets in 2020. She is currently Head of Wealth Management and Segments, and Acting Retail Banking Head for Citibank Singapore.
Also effective 1 October, Ashmita Acharya has been named retail banking head for Singapore. She is currently APAC and EMEA Head for Segments in Singapore and is responsible for Citi’s client segment strategy in the region.
