StanChart appoints Sean Wallace head of client relationships
Sean Wallace has record performance in accelerating the growth of lender’s Corporate Finance business.
Standard Chartered has appointed Sean Wallace as Group Head of Origination and Client Coverage (OCC) with immediate effect. He will continue to be based in Singapore.
Reporting to Mike Rees, CEO of Wholesale Banking, Sean will lead the Bank’s Origination and Client Coverage Group, which shapes the client-centric strategy of deepening client relationships across its key markets.
In his new role, Sean succeeds V Shankar, who has been appointed the Bank’s CEO, Middle East, Africa, the Americas and Europe, Standard Chartered said in a statement.

As Group Head of Corporate Finance, Sean led the business in delivering record performances. For the full year 2009, Corporate Finance delivered 74 per cent year-on-year growth, underpinned by the rollout of new products and geographic expansion to meet our clients’ needs.
