Sukoriyanto appointed Mutiara bank chief

Shareholders of Mutiara Bank agreed to appoint Sukoriyanto Saputro as president director.

He replaces Maryono, who was selected to lead Bank Tabungan Negara last week.

Sukoriyanto, who was previously corporate secretary at Bank Mandiri, said that Mutiara will broaden itsoffering to reach retail and personal banking customers in Indonesia.

“We will expand our business into the retail business, which in turn can help reduce our cost of funds,” Sukoriyanto said after Mutiara’s shareholder meeting.
