Liyen Wee takes spot as VP, head of wealth at Cohen & Steers

She will be headquartered in Singapore under David Conway’s management.

Cohen & Steers has announced the appointment of Liyen Wee as Vice President and Head of Wealth, Asia Pacific. 

This appointment follows Cohen & Steers' expansion into Singapore and the earlier appointment of Abhi Shroff as Head of Institutional Distribution, Asia Pacific in May.

In her new role, Wee will be responsible for establishing and managing relationships with financial intermediaries in the Asia Pacific Ex-Japan region. 

She will be based in Singapore and will report to David Conway, Head of International Wholesale Distribution.

Wee brings over 18 years of experience in sales and client relationships in the asset management industry to Cohen & Steers. She most recently served as Director of the Financial Intermediaries Group at Lazard Asset Management, leading the Southeast Asia financial intermediaries and wholesale distribution business. 

Prior to her role at Lazard in 2021, Wee worked as Director and Head of Distribution Sales at Amundi Asset Management and held positions at Aberdeen and OCBC Asset Management.
