Vietnam's Agribank to be restructured

The State Bank of Vietnam, under the order of Vietnam Prime Minister, promptly directed related units to develop plans to restructureAgribank.

 

The State Bank of Vietnam recently announced fundamental principles in restructuring the local banking system, affirming its targets to strengthen the health and safety of the banking sector; to ensure the rights of the depositors and to restructure the banking system via an appropriate roadmap with multiple measures and approaches.

The central bank has also been developing a general plan, identifying the need to raise additional capital of all state-owned commercial banks.
