Bank Jago teams up with Google Cloud for gen AI, data analytic capabilities

Google Cloud’s data encryption will help safeguard the bank’s AI models.

Indonesia’s PT Bank Jago Tbk is adopting Google Cloud’s BigQuery and Vertex AI platforms to harness generative AI in its services.

Under the collaboration, Bank Jago and DKatalis will adopt the platforms, integrating Vertex AI’s gen AI capabilities and BigQuery’s data analytics capabilities.

Vertex AI will implement Google Cloud’s data encryption and access controls to help Bank Jago safeguard its AI models and training data.

The Vertex AI Model Registry will also give the bank a centralized library for AI models. This ensures that its developers use pre-trained or fine-tuned models that are explicitly approved for organizational use, thereby accelerating solution development, Bank Jago said in a press release.

As of the third quarter of 2024, Bank Jago serves more than 14 million customers.
