DBS has new Taiwan headquarters

DBS Bank inaugurated its new Taiwan headquarters at Shin Kong Xinyi Financial Center at the heart of Taipei’s financial district.

It occupies three storeys, or a total of 1,755 ping, and accommodates about 350 staff.

Staff based at Shin Kong Xinyi Financial Center will enjoy the convenience of seamless communication and full mobility with wireless technology in all parts of the facility. Another notable feature is the presence of “social hubs”, or custom-built premises where employees can relax in.

This is testament to the bank’s commitment to strengthening its presence in Taiwan. DBS Taiwan will continue to offer a range of diversified and localised financial products and services, and to build its franchise, in line with the bank’s ambition to become the Asian bank of choice.

DBS has over 200 branches in Asia and a growing presence in the region’s three key axes of growth - Greater China, Southeast Asia and South Asia. Taiwan is integral to helping the bank realise its ambitions in Greater China.

At the grand opening of DBS Taiwan’s headquarters, DBS Group Holdings’ Chairman Peter Seah said, “Taiwan plays an integral role in Asia’s rise and DBS Taiwan is fast becoming a key part of the DBS Group. We are very pleased with the progress we are making in Taiwan and are firmly committed to this market, not just today but for the long haul.”
