Citi adds full Apple product suite to rewards redemption platform

It is initially available in Australia, Hong Kong, the Philippines and Thailand.

Citi customers in Australia, Hong Kong, the Philippines and Thailand can now use their credit card points or miles to redeem items from the complete suite of Apple products on the bank’s digital rewards redemption platform, Citi ThankYou.

The feature will be available in Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan by 2019.

Users can also use a combination of points, miles and credit card payments to redeem products if their points or miles fail to fully cover the total item cost.

Launched in 2015, the Citi ThankYou rewards digital platform features a list of merchants including Expedia, Grab, Jetstar, Lazada, Shell, Starbucks and Thai Airways. It also houses a Travel Portal where users can use points or miles to redeem flights and hotel stays.

“We work relentlessly to increase the value of our Cards propositions by establishing strategic partnerships to give our cardholders more options to use their points and miles for redemptions across an increasing number of merchants and products in the region,” Sergio Zanatti, head of cards and loans at Citi Asia Pacific said in a statement.
