Rapyd partners with local payment players to launch service in India

It has partnered with local players to allow merchants to access 900 locally-preferred payment methods.

Fintech Rapyd has partnered with members of India’s payments ecosystem to roll out a payment service that allows Indian and international merchants to expand their sales within and outside the country, an announcement revealed.

The service will also allow merchants to access over 900 locally-preferred payment methods, according to Rapyd.

Partners include Paytm Payments Bank, PhonePe, PayU, Citibank, DBS, HDFC Bank, BharatPay, and Unimoni.

International merchants will now be able to access India’s preferred payment methods through Rapyd’s platform, enabling them collect from buyers and make payments to suppliers and partners using India’s preferred payment methods.
