10 overseas e-wallets now usable in China

Alipay+-in-China’s programme added seven new Asian e-wallets.

Ant Group announced seven new e-wallets and payment apps from Asia to the "Alipay+-in-China" Programme (A+China Programme), increasing the total number of overseas e-wallets accepted in China to ten.

These e-wallets include Changi Pay (Singapore), OCBC Bank (Singapore), Naver Pay (South Korea), Toss Pay (South Korea), TrueMoney (Thailand), mPay (Macao SAR, China), and HiPay (Mongolia).

These additions bring the program's reach to over 175 million people in Southeast and East Asia, in addition to the existing participants such as Kakao Pay (South Korea) and Touch 'n Go eWallet (Malaysia).

Users of these e-wallets can now seamlessly utilise their preferred payment apps wherever Alipay is accepted, ensuring secure and convenient cashless transactions, along with transparent and competitive exchange rates.

Additionally, they can access promotional offers through Alipay+ Rewards and receive support from Alipay's customer service.

This expansion of partners and the merchant network is particularly timely as China prepares to welcome Asian athletes, fans, and travellers for the Hangzhou Asian Games, showcasing the growing importance of cross-border payment solutions and digital financial services in the region.
