GCash now provides real-time forex rates, translates e-money according to currency

GCash users can use the e-wallet in 17 markets.

Electronic wallet, Gcash, has introduced a new feature in its app that allows users to view real-time foreign exchange rates in select countries, including Singapore, Japan, and the USA. 

Through its partnership with Alipay+, GCash enables Filipino travellers and overseas residents to use the e-wallet for cashless transactions in 17 countries. 

Users can sign up for GCash using international mobile numbers in six countries and make cashless transactions with over 80 million merchants across 200 countries through its partnership with Visa.

GCash is expanding its services for enterprise customers and exploring opportunities in the B2B space. 

The company has also achieved double unicorn status with a valuation of over $2b.
