Belomey will leverage local and alternative payment methods across 6 markets.

Payment platform dLocal has partnered with Belmoney, a remittance-as-a-service (RAAS) provider in Europe, to facilitate money transfers and payment methods in select Asian and South American countries.

Under this, dLocal enables Belmoney to facilitate cross-border payouts in Bangladesh, Ecuador, Peru, and Pakistan. It will also include digital wallets like OPay in Nigeria and GCash in the Philippines.

Belmoney will be able to leverage over 900 local and alternative payment methods (APMs), such as credit and debit cards, bank transfers, and instant transactions, the press release said.

Leveraging dLocal’s expertise, Belmoney outlined plans to expand into markets like China.
