MUFG integrates cash management services in Unity platform
The new platform links ASEAN partner banks for unified payments and reporting across markets.
MUFG Bank has launched MUFG Unity, a transaction banking platform designed to provide corporate clients with integrated cash management services across Asia Pacific (APAC).
The platform connects MUFG’s regional operations with its partner banks in ASEAN, including Bank of Ayudhya, VietinBank, Security Bank Corporation and Bank Danamon, according to MUFG’s press statement.
MUFG said the platform allows corporate clients to access local payment and collection services across multiple markets through a single relationship, with consolidated reporting across the network.
The bank said MUFG Unity combines its global cash management and liquidity capabilities with domestic payment infrastructure provided by its ASEAN partner banks, adding that the platform is designed to support payments, collections and reporting across the region.
According to MUFG, the system is intended to provide a single point of access for regional transactions and standardised reporting across both MUFG and partner bank channels.
MUFG said the platform forms part of its strategy to strengthen its Asian transaction banking operations and expand its payments network connectivity.
